The internet and social media is designed to create an “echo chamber” so we only see and watch the things we want to see. What this means is we are literally living inside a virtual bubble, and it’s very hard to see outside it unless we take time to look for other information or log into someone else’s account or move to another country. Long term these bubbles are making us all more prone to being biased even if we don’t want to be. More division often means more arguments and drama. As time goes by this is just going to get worse. I’m beginning to wonder about how to use technology without being brainwashed … hmmm
